I attended the Park Hospital for a consultation for a Laparoscopic Incisional hernia repair. this was after I had a unsuccessful repair a year earlier by a different surgeon .At our initial consultation Mr Smarajit Dutta (Sam) was relaxed, friendly and took time to listen and answer all my questions with consideration. he told me why the previous repair may have failed and what he was going to do to make sure it was successful this time. I certainly felt reassured and confident in my surgery. The care I received before and after my operation from Sam was excellent, I was informed at all stages what was happening and reassured, even when there was an issue with some miscommunication with Park hospital i called him and he sorted it out. I would totally recommend both Sam Dutta, and The Park hospital once the issue had been sorted to anyone needing treatment.

From the moment I met Mr Dutta I was assured I was in good hands - what a truly lovely lovely guy. He is warm and friendly, he clearly explained the surgery to remove my gallbladder and the risks. At no point did he make me feel rushed. He listened to me, reassured me when I said I felt nervous on the morning of surgery and has just been great each step of the way. He is everything you could hope for in a surgeon. Thank you so much Mr Dutta.

I had both an inguinal and umbilical hernia op at the same time at Woodthorpe Hospital on 27th February. All the staff at the hospital were very caring and friendly. Sam Dutta was extremely easy to understand and went into great detail during the initial consultation. I was put totally at ease by everyone prior to the actual operation and in Mr Dutta's case he again explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand and reassuring. everything went really well and i was able to walk gently within a few days. I will attempt golf now, and hope that it has improved my game ! Thank you very much.

Mr Dutta carried out my laparascopic inguinal hernia repair on 2nd March 2023 and by 21st March I was back riding my mototcycle and enjoying life again. The process went exactly as he described beforehand and was carried out with great skill and minimal discomfort - I don't know why I waited so long before deciding to have it done. Mr Dutta put me at ease and filled me with confidence from our first meeting and it was a pleasure to have to have met him.
